Carlisle, PA – GIANT Food Stores has completed remodels of its stores located at 200 South Dorcas Street in Lewistown and at 325 West Freedom Avenue in Burnham. The stores underwent three-month remodels to provide customers with an expanded product selection and features for a more convenient shopping experience.

“We are excited to share our new state-of-the-art shopping amenities to our customers,” said Colin Snyder, district director. “With these new upgrades complete, we are able to offer customers a wider variety of products at the everyday savings and value they expect from GIANT.”

Lewistown and Burnham customers will find key departments such as produce, deli, meat, and bakery have been expanded and freshened with new décor and fixtures allowing for an increased variety of product. Key areas such as grocery, dairy, and frozen foods have also been refreshed or expanded.

With an eye on energy conservation, LED lighting was newly installed in many areas of the stores, including overhead track lights, spotlights on specialty areas & displays, exterior store signs and in the frozen food cases. LED lights are longer-lasting and are expected to reduce wattage by half. In October 2102, the Burnham store also opened a new fuel station. For every $100 spent on grocery and pharmacy out-of-pocket expenses at any GIANT using a Bonuscard, customers will receive ten cents off per gallon of gas when they fill up as part of the Gas Extra Rewards program. Points can be earned and redeemed now through January 19.
