Carlisle, PA – GIANT Food Stores and MARTIN’S Food Markets, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and local law enforcement agencies, will once again participate in the national “drug take-back” initiative on Saturday, April 27. Expired and unwanted medications can be brought into one of 35 participating GIANT and MARTIN’S locations from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. All medications will be disposed of in an environmentally-friendly manner at no cost to the customer.

“We’re proud to partner with the DEA and local law enforcement authorities to assist customers with properly disposing of unwanted or expired prescription and over-the¬counter medications and to reduce the amount of medication polluting our environment and our local communities,” said Leigh Shirley, director of pharmacy operations.
