Richmond, VA – Unsure about how to maintain healthy eating habits in the midst of summer barbecues and parties? For many, the decision to eat healthier starts at the grocery store. Valerie Waters, RDN, MARTIN’S Food Markets in-store nutritionist in Richmond, is available to help customers make those healthier choices.

The Cross Ridge MARTIN’S located at 10250 Staples Mill Road in Glen Allen is hosting several meet and greet sessions for customers to get to know Waters. Stop by MARTIN’S on Thursday, June 5 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon or Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A MARTIN’S reusable shopping bag and a coupon book will be handed out to customers who stop by and visit.

Waters is available in select MARTIN’S stores to assist customers with questions on healthy eating while they shop, provide one-on-one nutrition consultations, teach health- related classes, and conduct Kid Healthy Ideas store tours. In addition to the Cross Ridge store, Waters is available at the MARTIN’S located at 2250 John Rolfe Parkway in Richmond and the Chesterfield Towne Center location at 11361 Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond. Waters also participates in health-related events throughout the greater Richmond community.
