Popular free turkey promotion now in its 15th year

Carlisle, PA – Turkey will be the featured Thanksgiving dish for 88% of Americans this year, and officials at GIANT Food Stores and MARTIN’S Food Markets are once again reminding their shoppers to begin redeeming their Free Turkey Extra Reward certificates at the register. GIANT/MARTIN’S signature Free Turkey Extra Reward promotion has been in place since 2000. Customers with 400 extra reward points earned through November 15 were eligible for the free turkey certificate which can be redeemed from November 16 through November 29.

“It’s time to redeem your free turkey certificates at your local GIANT or MARTIN’S,” said John MacDonald, director of marketing and external communications. “Our free turkey program is one of our most popular extra reward promotions because of the huge savings it brings to the Thanksgiving dinner table.”

GIANT/MARTIN’S customers can also upgrade and substitute when redeeming their Free Turkey Extra Reward certificates, including these options:

  • Free Giant Grade A frozen turkey (up to 20 lbs.)
  • Free Empire Kosher frozen turkey (up to 14 lbs.)
