MARTIN’S FOOD MARKETS DONATES MORE THAN $8,000 TO SALVATION ARMY’S DONUTS OF HOPE CAMPAIGN

Richmond, VA – To help assist those in need throughout Central Virginia, MARTIN’S Food Markets was a proud supporter of the Salvation Army’s recent Donuts of Hope: A Dough- Raising Event. During the in-store campaign, MARTIN’S donated 25 cents of every donut sold at its stores in the Richmond region from May 27-June 2, resulting in a contribution of $4,225. In addition, MARTIN’S matched the contribution for a total donation to the Salvation Army of $8,450.

“The first Donuts of Hope campaign was a great success in our MARTIN’S stores and we were more than happy to match what was raised to provide even more funding to the Salvation Army to assist with programs right here in our local community,” said Jim Scanlon, regional vice president.

"The Salvation Army is once again grateful to MARTIN’S and their customers for supporting our efforts to change lives in Central Virginia,” said Jeff Baldwin, public relations director of the Salvation Army, Central Virginia Area Command. “With MARTIN’S wonderful support of Donuts of Hope, and the generosity of so many, nearly $60,000 total has been raised to benefit our programs; programs that provide hope to thousands of individuals right here in this community."
