Suggested use: 1 tbsp. Corn Starch = 2 tbsp. Flour. Use for thickening gravies, sauces, stews and soups. If the recipe calls for flour, use 1/2 as much Corn Starch as flour. To thicken hot liquids: Mix Corn Starch with a small amount of cold water until smooth, then stir into hot liquid. Stir constantly until liquid comes to a boil. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, about one minute. Corn Starch mixes with cold water more easily than flour and will result in creamier, smoother gravies and sauces. Use as dusting powder: Corn Starch can be used as a dusting powder to help keep you dry and comfortable.
