Oatmeal Preparation: Servings: 1; 1 water (cups); 1/2 oats (cups); dash salt (optional). Servings: 2; 1-3/4 water (cups); 1 oats (cups); 1/3 tsp salt (optional). Servings: 6; 5 water (cups); 3 oats (cups); 1/4 tsp salt (optional). Make on Stovetop: 1. Bring water to a boil. 2. Stir oats in slowly. 3. Simmer 3-5 minutes over medium heat; stirring occasionally. Note: For creamier oatmeal, combine water, salt and oats; bring to boil; cook as directed. Make in Microwave (one serving): 1. Combine water, salt and oats in a medium sized microwaveable bowl. 2. Microwave on high 2-4 minutes; stir before serving. Caution: Bowl may be hot. Due to differences in microwave ovens, cook times may vary.
