Directions

Instructions to Glaze and Heat: 1 Sweet Slice. Ham; 1/2 Cup Water; Boar's Head Brown Sugar & Spice Ham Glaze. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Remove ham from package and lightly score with a sharp knife. Place into shallow roasting pan and add 1/2 cup of water to pan. Pat a thin layer of glaze on entire surface of ham. Tent roasting pan with foil, sealing edges tightly to the pan. Bake in preheated oven at 325 degrees F for 15 minutes per pound. If additional glaze is desired, remove ham from oven 15 minutes before it finishes baking. Remove foil and apply additional glaze. Raise oven temperature to 425 degrees F and bake uncovered for remaining 15 minutes. Carving Instructions: Place ham on carving board. Starting halfway up wide end of ham, cut a horizontal slice approximately 3 inches deep. Holding knife at a slight angle, make a vertical slice from top of ham down to horizontal cut. Repeat cut, making slices 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch apart. When top of ham is fully sliced, turn ham over so that flat side rests on carving board. Repeat steps to slice bottom half of ham. Keep refrigerated below 40 degrees F at all times.
