Easy Setup: 1. Remove lid and insert filter below line to seal filter. Press firmly to ensure the filter is secure. 2. Press and hold reset button on top of lid for 6 seconds to activate filter life indicator. 3. Fill reservoir with cold tap water. Discard the first 3 pitchers of filtered water before use. Replace filter every 6 months(c) or 120 gallons. (c) Approximate timing based on 120-gallon filter life and average family usage of 11 glasses per day. For best results, store the Brita pitcher in your refrigerator or out of direct sunlight.
