Details

Sharp pasteurized process American cheese. The original. Since 1893. In colonial America, the fine craftsmanship of the cooper - or barrel maker - was in high demand. Cooper's barrels were necessary for storage and packed with such goods as flour, wine, cheese, tobacco, gun powder, and milk. The art of coopering is one of tradition, precision, handcrafting, and quality. Today, that same tradition of quality and fine craftsmanship goes into every batch of Cooper cheese. It's why the brand has been in demand since 1893. In 1945, the Cooper Victory label (C.V. Sharp) was developed in honor of WWII veterans. Showing pride in our returning veterans with a reference to victory was a common packaging practice of the time. It is with great pride that we continue to honor that legacy today.
