Guidelines for Charitable Giving

You can apply for other donations for GIANT Food Stores located in Pennsylvania and MARTIN'S Food Markets located in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia through this page.

Requesting funding for your community organization? Please review the following guidelines:

  • To apply for a donation you need your organization's information which includes the Federal EIN and any supporting documents.
  • Click the link below to begin the submission process.
  • Apply early for your event and allow 4-6 weeks for the process. You will receive an email of the decision. Requests for events three months or more in advance may not be processed until closer the event.

If you have a smaller request for a gift card or product donation, please visit your local MARTIN'S FOODS manager with a letter of request, on your organization's letterhead.

Donation Guidelines:

  • Our main missions are improving the lives of children and feeding those in need in our community.
  • MARTIN'S FOODS does not allow solicitation at any of our MARTIN'S FOODS locations. This includes requests for: donation collections, information distribution, leafleting, sales, political registration, petitions, and any type of containers/vehicles.
  • We are only able to accept requests from registered 501c3 non-profit organizations. Your organization must be able to provide a federal EIN number (please note, an EIN is not a state tax exempt number).
  • To apply for our Feeding Charity/Day Old Bread program, please visit your local store manager. Only 501c3 hunger organizations will be considered.

We do not accept the following requests:

  • Personal assistance for individuals/families including pageants, trips or financial distress needs
  • Third-party donation requests (we prefer to make donations directly to charities)
  • Political or election related requests
  • Business fundraising or associate recognition
  • Building or capital campaigns
  • Requests for support outside our area
